Without this area, our business simply wouldn’t function. This is the part of the organisation that looks after our technology, our people, our finances, and much more besides.

Business Support isn’t actually one area. It covers a range of functions that are all integral to the smooth running of our operation. It’s where you’ll find our teams in Customer ServiceFinanceHealth & Safety, Research & Sustainability, Human ResourcesIT Web Development and SupportLegal and Marketing. As such, we need a wide range of professional talents to work across Business Support.

Whichever department you choose to work in, and however you contribute to our business, we can offer you a truly rewarding career.     Our People

    Jackie BroadeyJackie joined Redrow in 2010, taking a temporary role in Group Marketing. In 2015 she became My Redrow Product Manager.

    “I came to Redrow in a somewhat unconventional way. I was working for the creative agency managing Redrow’s digital projects, where I became aware of an opportunity to cover for maternity leave for the Digital Marketing Manager. I was sceptical about ‘moving to the other side’ at first. What sold me was the idea of working for a company that genuinely values its employees and helps them grow and develop their careers.

    I stayed beyond the maternity cover role and as part of the Digital Account Management team, I helped to develop the website and support the Group Sales and Marketing Director. Then in 2012 I got involved in the My Redrow project, which was a turning point for me. I’ve been fully involved in it ever since, and in July 2015 I was made My Redrow Product Manager in recognition of my commitment. It was one of my proudest moments here.

    As for the future, I hope to have many more years working at Redrow. There’s still such a lot I’d like to add to My RedrowI want to make improvements and investigate new technologies.

    Hannah – Sales Administrator

    Hannah Giles Jerome

    Hannah joined Redrow in 2014 as our Sales Administrator and was attracted to the opportunity by our product.

    “What attracted me to the job is the product that Redrow produce it was so appealing and unique and I wanted to work for a company that produced a good product.

    A typical day would involve answering the sales enquiry line and assisting potential customers with our new sites. I could also be dealing with any emails to help and assist the Sales Advisors on site. I enjoy booking the sales on SBMS as it is good to know we are selling lots of houses and this feels like an achievement

    To describe my time at Redrow in three words I would use Rewarding, Fun and Challenging My best achievement so far is playing a part in Redrows 2 Golf days including Redrows 40th Anniversary. Also understanding the company a lot better and knowing Redrows product.

    I would 100% recommend working for Redrow as the company has so many areas to explore and are willing to give you the opportunity to do what makes you happy in your job role. They are very supportive and caring for their staff.”

     

  • I am currently 3 months into my apprenticeship, dealing with overall office administration, and I am about to complete my Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration.
    Eleanor – Admin Apprentice

    Eleanor joined Redrow in February 2016 as an Administration Apprentice in our Midlands Division.

    “I found out about the job opportunity whilst looking at houses. After seeing Redrow’s homes I went onto the careers page, found out more about their apprenticeship programmes and applied. I was attracted to the role as I thought it would be a good opportunity and a great career path.

    I am currently 3 months into my apprenticeship, dealing with overall office administration, and I am about to complete my Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration. On a day to day basis I could be covering reception, raising purchase orders, printing and organising our weekly and monthly board reports, keeping holiday, managing phone and IT orders, absence records, timesheet spreadsheets, and keeping files up to date. My role comes with a lot of variety.

    I enjoy all aspects of my job role because Redrow is a nice place to work. Everyone in the office is friendly and that’s what you need to enjoy your job. I hope that once I have completed my NVQ I can stay on at Redrow and progress further in my career. I would recommend working for Redrow as everyone is very supportive, it’s a nice working environment.”

    Clare – New Entrant Programmes Manager

    Clare HortonAn experienced Redrow employee, Clare joined the company in March 2006. Since then she has moved through Training Administrator and Training Coordinator roles. She is now a Trainee Programmes Manager.

    “As a Trainee Programmes Manager in the Learning and Development department, my typical day includes a lot of different duties. I might be speaking to apprentices and graduates to help address their concerns about progress deadlines, or I could be attending meetings with colleges and training providers, or helping with the development of our graduate blog.

    There’s so much variety in my role, and I genuinely enjoy all of it. Perhaps the best thing, however, is knowing I’m helping people move up the career ladder. It’s great to work with apprentices and recent graduates and to see them develop and progress – to see that your efforts are making a difference.

    Redrow has given me really excellent development opportunities too. I’ve had the chance to take part in a lot of different training courses over the years, including: Train the Trainer and Institute of Leadership and Management Levels 3 and 5. I’ve been able to get my Certificate of Personnel Practice through Redrow too. You’re much more than just a number to them: they really care about your continual personal and professional development.”

    David – Learning & Development Advisor

    Our People

    Dave-SkeltonDavid Skelton joined Redrow as a trainee sales consultant in 2011. He spent three years in sales before deciding to take his career in a different direction. Now part of our Learning & Development team, he designs and presents training courses for Redrow employees across the organisation.

    “Redrow gave me my first break. For the first two years after sixth form college, I had been working as a waiter and maitre d’ at a local restaurant. I really wanted to get into sales and applied for loads of jobs but no one would look at me without experience. Redrow, however, took a different view. They saw that I had customer service skills and that these were transferable, so they agreed to take me on as a trainee sales consultant.

    “After three years in sales, I’m now a member of the Learning & Development team. It’s my job to create new courses, develop our existing ones and ensure our training materials are up to date. I also deliver workshops and coaching sessions. It’s a really fun and exciting role. Right now, I’m working on two new projects – one for My Redrow and the other for mystery shopping. The variety is rewarding.”

    Sarah – FInance Director

    Our People

    Unknown-1Sarah became Finance Director of two Redrow housing divisions in 2011. She joined Redrow 10 years earlier after graduating from Keele University with a degree in Economics and Finance and began as a graduate trainee in the finance team at Redrow’s headquarters near Chester.

    Sarah said: “When I joined Redrow as a graduate trainee all those years ago, I hoped that one day I would be a director of the company; now that I am it is a fantastic feeling.

    “The graduate trainee programme was an excellent introduction to the business and gave me the opportunity to study for external qualifications – I’m now an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) – as well as participating in a range of in-house training programmes. These included an excellent management course covering subject such as human resources, employment law, assertiveness and time management. It’s all helped to equip me for my new role.

    “I would definitely encourage anybody thinking of applying for a job at Redrow, it is a fantastic place to work and if you are prepared to put the effort in and work hard there is every opportunity for you to progress and build a career within the company.”

  • Holidays

    If you’re on a monthly salary, you’ll get 24 days’ holiday, increasing every 2.5 years up to a maximum of 28 days after 10 years’ service. If you’re on our 4-weekly payroll, holidays start at 22 days and increase by a day at 5 and 10 years. You also have the flexibility to ‘sell’ some holiday in exchange for salary if this is more important to you
